The Supermodels: Return Of The Original Fashion Icons

Apple TV+ will stream the docuseries “The Supermodels” to show the rise of four fashion goddesses – Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington, and Linda Evangelista. It will be directed by Barbara Kopple, the 2-time Academy Award winner, and produced under Apple and Imagine Documentaries, founded by Brian Glazer and Ron Howard.

The 4 supermodels had dominated the modelling world in the ‘90s and managed to still be prominent today. It is said to show the audience the most pivotal moments of their glam life, so that the viewers get the courage to shatter the glass ceiling just like them.

On Instagram, Campbell said “We hope our journey seen in the docuseries will encourage, motivate and inspire young people around the world.” And Crawford posted about how excited she is to work with her friends again. Also, Apple TV+ stated, “Their prestige was so extraordinary that it enabled the four to supersede the brands they showcased, making the names Naomi, Cindy, Linda and Christy as prominent as the designers who styled them.”.

Even though the streaming service isn’t as popular as Netflix and Disney+, its usage has increased in the COVID-19 pandemic. The docuseries will be launched along with documentaries like “The Elephant Queen,” “Beastie Boys Story” and “Letter to You”.
