GM: When I first arrived in Bangladesh, the hospitality and tourism industry was still finding its footing. The sector was relatively underdeveloped, with limited infrastructure and few international hotel brands. However, I have witnessed a remarkable transformation and growth over the years.

Bangladesh’s rich cultural heritage, natural beauty, and warm hospitality have become key drivers in attracting both domestic and international tourists. The country’s diverse landscapes, from the serene beaches of Cox’s Bazar to the lush greenery of the Sundarbans and the historical treasures of Dhaka, offer unique experiences for travelers.

One of the most significant changes has been the substantial infrastructural developments. Improved transportation networks, including new highways, bridges, and airports, have made it easier for tourists to explore the country. Enhanced tourist facilities, such as modern hotels, resorts, and recreational centers, have also played a crucial role in elevating the travel experience.

The hospitality industry in Bangladesh has become increasingly competitive, with several renowned international hotel brands establishing a presence here. This influx of global players has raised the overall standards of hospitality, driving local hotels to enhance their services and amenities to meet international benchmarks.
